A New Discovery

I was nosing around on Facebook today and I came across a thing that said I could lose so much weight in just a few months with these two special things. Since my interest was piqued I decided to take a looksee.

I opened up this link...http://www.dailyfitreports.com/new-special-report/...and I read the whole thing including the bottom comments. Everyone seems to be having great results with these two things. So I decided to order my own trial of the two and give it a go. They're all natural so what can it hurt? Plus it's been on Dr.Oz, Rachael Ray and lots of Hollywood stars including Jennifer Lopez do them. I figured once I can get the initial weight off it won't be as hard to keep it off. I'll have a body to be proud of so I'll have the will and the drive to stay sexy. Hopefully they'll be here Monday and I can start it! Wish me luck!

On a different note, I'm losing weight in my thighs and tummy. Not much at all but progress is progress!

Day 3

I ran for two whole minutes today! Talk about a boost!

I found this pin on Pinterest for undiscovered secret workout stations on Pandora. I cranked up the Electronic Cardio Radio station and man. The music on there really does get you in the right mindset to kick some major calories. I'm going to thoroughly enjoy listening to that as I progressively run more and more every time. It's a great discovery. Thank you Pinterest.

My WIP, Controllers, is coming along quite nicely. I finished chapter 4 today and I'm about to work some more on Chapter 5. Rayne finally met her new assistant, Braxton and things are about to get good! She's not the only one with secrets!

Just thought I'd share that discovery and update with you all. I have stopped snacking during the day and I'm cutting out sugary drinks altogether as best I can. I'll pay more attention to the labels when I shop. I did buy some multi-grain peanut butter Cheerios that are delish and I'm drinking lots of sparkling water. I read an article about aspartame and it's not really all that bad. I read a Time Magazine article about it so it seems legit to me. Anywho...

Until then, work out, read more and dare to inspire!

Day 2

The weight loss challenge is going as expected....hard and slow.

The only time these two things are acceptable together is sex and that isn't happening therefore it sucks. Ha!

It's really hard to change your diet. I went all out the last time I did this and switched to skim milk, wheat everything, light everything and lots of fresh fruits. I bought stuff I didn't even know I would like! This time around I don't have a lot of extra cash so I have to buy in moderation. So this time it's slow and easy wins the race.

I am, however, keeping up with my exercising. I'm trying to stick to 30 minutes every night minus the weekends. Those are my rest days. My biggest problem is I am the type of person that without instant results I feel like it's not working. We all know this is completely bogus but it's my horrible mindset. Therefore not losing any pounds during a week is very disheartening.

Now for those men reading this, I don't care how much you fight with a woman on this subject, it is DEFINITELY harder for us females to lose weight. We deal with stress weight which is ten times harder to shed. We also have menstrual cycles that bloat us up with water for a week or more so that's no good either. The moral of the story, it's twice as hard for us to lose weight.

My wonderful father informed me that I have my grandma's child bearing hips so I probably won't be losing much there. And you know what? That's fine. I'm ok with that. I like being curvy. I just don't like the curves that curve the wrong way. To see me in clothes I look fine. But once again, I want to look good naked. And I don't.

So I keep on trudging on. I am doing workouts that don't make me sweat a whole lot. I know that sweating is detoxing and great for your body but it also just gets rid of water weight. I'm doing exercises that require me to build and tone muscle rather than sweat my buns off. Though I really don't want to lose much of those either!

Tomorrow I'll hop back on the treadmill and hopefully run for a few minutes. I'm not pushing though. It took three weeks before I ran the last time. Maybe I'll work back up to that again. Hard telling with me.

For now, it's time for a shower, a nice big glass of water and the latest book I'm reading to review. I hope you haven't forgotten that I'm part of an exquisite upcoming review group called A Thousand Lives Reviews.

Weight Loss Challenge Day 1

Day 1

I'm a day behind buy eh, whatever. Yesterday I started my weight loss challenge. I did a set of 10 burpees, a 20 second plank, sit ups and some dancing. I found this nifty little list on Pinterest of some hidden workout stations on Pandora. That'll definitely come in handy while I'm on the treadmill.

I will admit, while I worked out, my food was far from healthy. As I said before, I work in fast food so it was easy to just snack on something there. But today is full health mode. I'm giving this an honest goal once again.

And I will also say that I definitely feel the effects this morning. I can feel those muscles again in my stomach and it feels incredible. I love the feeling of progress.

So why am I doing this? I'm not incredibly overweight but I've got some extra baggage going on. Losing 26 pounds will put me at 140 and that's where I think I look best. I want to look good and feel great. I want to be able to buy smaller clothes and enjoy cuter clothes. I also want to look good naked. I mean, come one. What girl doesn't?

Here's my stats:
Weight: 166
Tummy: 40.5"
Chest: 36"
Arms: 11"
Thighs: 23.5"
Waist: 32.5"
Butt/Hips: 42.5"

So there you have it. I'll post again this evening with day two. Maybe I'll start posting what I eat along with what I did to exercise. I start school again on the 19 and will have full access to a gym. That'll be nice!

Well I've Been Going Through Changes

Thought the title is not only a great song but a great title for this post.

Back in June I started a self-changing journey to start being healthier. It started out wonderfully and I got some good results. Lost seven pounds, gave up soda, started eating healthier and just felt better all around. And then I stopped. It always happens. It's the proverbial wall that everyone hits where they're just like:

Ok I'm done. I want a cheeseburger.

I can honestly say that I have stuck to the soda thing. In three months I've had three cups of soda. So I'm doing quite well there. As far as food, what can I say? I work fast food so it's just easy to eat there instead of going elsewhere. However, I'll be taking my lunch from now on and I'll definitely be getting back to my working out.

When I was on the treadmill the last time, I put on the song "Titanium" and let me tell you, I began running.
That's right, I RAN. I ran for a whole minute and a half. Which is quite amazing in you are not a runner and have never ran a day in your life. I had just been power walking before but I always felt a great burn and loved it. I love the overall feeling post workout. I just feel healthier.

Though when I run, afterwards my gums itch. Odd? Yeah, probably.

Anyways. I'll definitely be getting back to all of that stuff soon enough. I'll be starting tomorrow. Some friends, the boyfriend included, will be competing against each other to see who can lose the most weight by Christmas. A rough over all goal is 30 lbs each. Some more, some less.No matter, we're in this together. It'll be interesting to see which one flops first!

So don't be surprised to see some funny/entertaining posts about this workout competition periodically. I'll probably be keeping quite a log on my journey. Stay tuned!

Dream to do more

So I just sent an excerpt from the two books I'm currently working on to an author I interviewed with my review group. I was nervous and hell and wasn't sure how she would react to them but much to my great surprise, she said she would definitely read them and already wanted to read more!

HOW EXCITING!

If that doesn't give me a good enough reason to keep on writing I don't know what will. So looks like I'll be doing some more writing tonight!

New Stuff

I just finished reading 'Got the Life' by Jade C. Jamison and let me tell you, I loved it. I love the Nicki Sosebee series so much and I can't wait to get my hands on the next two books. Check out the link below and enter for your chance to win a signed copy of it!

A Thousand Lives Reviews

So last night while I was at work, I couldn't help but let my mind wander a little bit and I decided I am going to start writing the second book of my apparent series. I didn't know it would be a series but I guess it will. Maybe it'll be a collection. I'm not sure. But the first book is for Rayne Macovy and her new found Controller powers and the second book will be about Ivy Harlow, Rayne's roommate. There's a lot to Ivy's life and her story will be an interesting one to say the least. I'm excited for it so I should probably start jotting stuff down.

But first, lunch time and a date with my beta book. I love being a beta reader for this girl. She's so sweet and I love chatting with her. Be on the lookout for her book Broken Lives: Shattered Dreams!
